The Porcelain Place established itself in the field of porcelain in the late 80's with the development of it's first porcelain slip. That was followed by China Silk in the late 90's, which rapidly became a mainstay, and finally by Ultra Chic in 2006, which is becoming the Gold Standard in the doll industry. .
Along with porcelain casting slips, The Porcelain Place also produces several color lines, molds, and more. The Porcelain Place started as a family venture with Tony Tanner and his mother Joyce Condon in the early 80's. Cheryl Davidson become a business partner and dear friend in 2000 and in 2010 Shamae Tanner, Tony's daughter joined the business.
We lost Mom just before Christmas 2010 and lost a very wonderful part of our family. But the business continues to grow in her memory. We pride ourselves in supplying only the very finest products that can be made.
