Houston DAG Convention

We will be having four different make and takes at the convention so stop by the booth and have some fun. Pre- Show orders for porcelain will be taken until Wednesday March 17th.

Friday 10:00 am - "MARDI GRAS MASK WITH FIRED ENAMELS" Cost $15.00
You will learn how to work with the NEW EZnamels from The   Porcelain Place.  These
enamels fire between cone 017 and 014 on   porcelain, stoneware, or any glazed surface.
You will create a   wonderful small mask which will be fired and ready for pick up   
Saturday at the show.

Friday 1:00 pm - "REMEMBRANCE BOX WITH DECORATIVE ART PASTE" Cost $15.00
You will learn how to use Velvet Coats to line the inside of   these beautiful
little 3" boxes and then decorate the top with  White  Decorative Art Paste by The
Porcelain Place.  Both products  are  non-firing so you will take the box home with you
totally done  and  ready to use.  Boxes will be available in two shapes and three 
color  choices with corresponding Velvet Coat colors for the inside  of the box.

Saturday 10:00 am - "DICHROIC GLASS PENDANT" Cost $25.00
You will actually be able to sit down and learn how to create  wonderful Dichroic
glass pendants and have them fired inside of a   unique kiln that fires inside of a
regular microwave in 8-10  minutes  instead of the 8 hours of a normal glass firing. 
The  pendants will be fired in the booth and ready to pick up late  Friday or early
Saturday.  Each pendant comes with your choice of  silver or gold bail ready to  glue
on and wear. And yes, these  MicroKilns can also be used to fire  china paints on small
pieces  of porcelain as well.

Saturday 1:00 pm - "HIGH HEEL SHOE PIN CUSHION" Cost $15.00
You will learn how to decorate a high heel shoe, availble in   five different
colors of porcelain, with Metallic Decorative Art  Paste in georgous matching metallic
colors.  The shoes will need no  firing  and you can take it home complete and ready to
stuff for a  pin cushion using your own fabrics to finish off the piece.

The above make and takes will be taught in Chattanooga as well. WE will be posting exact times and days when we get closer to the show. Also at this show, Marilyn Thompson will be teaching a workshop on "Willow", our new 9" BJD. She is an EXCLUSIVE for this convention and will not be availble anywhere else.
